Oceans Collection
This collection is inspired by a lifetime spent in water and still it feels as though I've been away too long.
Beyond Words
In the thought-provoking book 'Silence in the Age of Noise,' Norwegian Explorer Erling kagge confidently asserts that "words create boundaries for our experiences." He clearly illustrates how the pursuit of the perfect description of an experience can distract us from engaging with extraordinary moments. This is precisely why I am drawn to diving—it's a powerful, non-verbal pursuit that immerses us in rich, non-verbal, sensory experiences! The connections we create are in knowing smiles and shared glances, leading to unforgettable memories. Each piece in the Beyond Words collection embodies celebrated moments of beauty, emotions, sounds and experiences that transcend language. All crafted from repurposed waste glass in my studio in Wales—a true testament to the profound magic that lies beyond words!
Seagrass
"We need to respect the oceans and take care of them as if our lives depended on it. Because they do." Sylvia Earle

I am absolutely passionate about seagrass! It’s an incredibly beautiful yet overlooked ecosystem in our oceans, much like an underwater wildflower meadow. These vibrant 'meadows' are teeming with life and play a vital role as wildlife nurseries, in carbon sequestration and pollution reduction, whilst being the only flowering plants that thrive in seawater. This work is a celebration of these amazing plants!
Each piece is handcrafted through an exciting two-stage process that starts with the creation of colourful canes, designed to reflect the stunning colours and textures of seagrass from an underwater perspective. These canes are cleaned, placed and picked up on a blowing iron, melted and overlaid with further canes to create depth. Each piece is then free blown to its final, organic form with the bottoms ground and polished for a beautiful finish. This process ensures that every creation is one-of-a-kind, and I’m proud to use repurposed and re-melted waste glass as part of my commitment to sustainability in my practice!
Waves
A New Perspective
These works are inspired by observing waves break from beneath the surface. Tubes of bubbles, known as 'rib vortices,' form a beautiful and dynamic frame for the wave.

The Last Wave draws influence from the remarkable photography of @benthouard, featured in Oceanographic magazine. The color palette is inspired by his work in French Polynesia and the magic of Teahupo'o, with blue undertones from re-melted waste glass. The textures and colors are accentuated by the stunning underlit plinth.
